"Jungleland"

I have been wanting to post something by Bruce Springsteen on my playlist, but couldn't decide what. The recent death of E Street Band saxaphonist Clarence Clemons has prompted me to post "Jungleland." One of the Big Man's signature sax solos begins at 4:22:

"Tupelo Honey"- Live Version

An old friend of mine from Pampa posted this live version of "Tupelo Honey" on his Facebook page, and when I listened to it I just had to post it on my playlist blog, even though I have previously posted the studio version. The sax solo is incredible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5GMHzPeEyA

"Kathy's Song"

From Simon and Garfunkel, one of the all time great love songs. I prefer the live version over the studio version.

"Beginnings"

A great song by "Chicago Transit Authority", which later shortened their name to "Chicago" when the real Chicago Transit Authority threatened legal action. The original uncut studio version of "Beginnings" clocked in at 7:54. The last part of that version gets a little tedious, so I'm opting for the 6:31 version:

"Badge"

A song by "Cream", but written by Eric Clapton and George Harrison during a collaborative effort, with a little help from Ringo Starr.

The song title is an inside joke, and the lyrics were never intended to make sense, but the guitar work is amazing:
